Sewing Machine Dealer & Table Manufacturer SEO Case Study - USA

Engagement Period
2025 - Present
Client Overview
Prizzi Sewing Machine Co, Inc is a U.S.-based dealer of industrial sewing machines from top global brands (JUKI, Brother, Prizzi, and others) and, at the same time, a manufacturer of its own line of industrial tables for sewing equipment. The company serves the U.S. B2B segment - factories, workshops, and industrial production lines - with a broad catalog covering apparel, leather, footwear, PPE, automotive, marine, and upholstery manufacturing. When Prizzi came to us in April 2025, the Shopify store wasn't working as an organic channel at all. There had never been any real SEO work on the site, indexation was uncontrolled, and the catalog was drowning in duplicates. Organic traffic sat in the hundreds of users per month, and organic revenue was just $1,427.24 for April 2025 - a striking number for a B2B store with a high AOV in a niche where purchasing decisions are made through search. Over the first sixteen months of the engagement, we rebuilt the technical foundation, restructured the site around real commercial intent, launched a Spanish version targeting the U.S. Hispanic market, established presence in AI-model answers, and built an authentic footprint in relevant Reddit communities. The result: organic traffic grew 5.7× (444 → 2,526 users/month), 1,097 keywords now rank in the TOP 3, and monthly revenue from organic search grew more than 30× - from $1,427.24 to $43,192.
The Challenge
At the start of the engagement, the site was in a state of "zero SEO baseline": no systematic search work had ever been done, and it showed everywhere. Technically, the store had a long list of critical issues - from broken canonical handling to indexation and speed problems. There was so much duplicate content that Google literally couldn't decide which of the similar pages was the primary one - so none of them could establish a stable ranking. We fixed the technical layer in a tight loop with the client's dev team: we wrote structured specs with acceptance criteria, they implemented, and we validated the result. The second serious constraint was the platform itself. Shopify doesn't convert filter URLs into clean, SEO-friendly URLs - and for a store with this breadth of catalog and this depth of industry-vertical segmentation, that's effectively a hard ceiling on how far you can scale the site structure out of the box. Every "un-launched" filter equals dozens of lost landing pages targeting specific commercial queries. The third layer was the channel mix. A catalog of hundreds of SKUs from multiple brands needed more than just SEO optimization - it needed a full multi-channel play: classic organic search + AI channels (ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Overviews as fast-growing entry points for B2B buyers), Reddit as a real venue where operators and shop owners actively discuss equipment choices, and YouTube as a platform where the client was already filming videos but with zero SEO packaging on them. On top of that: expansion into the U.S. Hispanic market, which represents a significant share of demand in the industrial sewing niche (California, Texas, Florida).
Strategic Objectives
  • Rebuild the site's technical foundation and fully clean duplicates out of the catalog
  • Work around Shopify's limitations by building a dense network of custom Collection pages mapped to real commercial intent
  • Dominate high-intent B2B queries across the industry verticals the equipment serves (apparel, leather, footwear, PPE, automotive, marine, fur, upholstery)
  • Build topical authority through content authored under the founder's byline (E-E-A-T)
  • Establish the brand inside AI-model results (ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Overviews) as a new B2B decision-making channel
  • Expand geographic and language coverage through a full Spanish site version for the U.S. Hispanic market
  • Build an authentic footprint in relevant Reddit communities as a referral traffic channel and a brand-search amplifier

Organic Growth Strategy and Its Execution
01
Technical SEO
Business-critical
  • Full technical SEO audit of the Shopify store: crawling, indexation, canonicals, performance, Core Web Vitals
  • Systematic removal of the mass of duplicate content that was blocking rankings for any of the similar pages
  • Structured technical specs for the client's dev team with clear acceptance criteria - not vague requests
  • Indexation control - to preserve crawl budget for commercially valuable pages
  • Continuous site health monitoring in Google Search Console + our rank-tracking systems
02
Structure Expansion Through Custom Collection Pages
Working around Shopify's key limitation
  • Shopify doesn't convert filter URLs into clean, SEO-friendly URLs, so we worked around that by building out a dense network of custom Collection pages mapped to real commercial intent
  • Over 16 months of work, we've built 50+ additional Collection pages, each with its own SEO-optimized URL, Title, Description, H1, and body copy
  • Segmentation by machine type: overlock, coverstitch, lockstitch, buttonhole, zig-zag, and others
  • Segmentation by industry vertical: Machines for Clothing & Textiles, Machines for Shoes & Footwear, Machines for PPE Production, Leather Sewing Machines, Machines for Upholstery, Machines for Automotive, Machines for Boats/Sails/Canvas Work, Machines for Fur Products
  • Segmentation by use case: industrial, commercial, material-specific
  • Each Collection is its own standalone landing page with a unique keyword cluster and a distinct search intent
03
Manual On-Page Optimization Across Collections and Products
Growth-focused
  • Keyword research and clustering - the tracking set currently covers 10,280 keywords in 152 topical groups
  • Full manual on-page work on every Collection page: keyword mapping, Title/Description, H1, body copy, FAQ blocks
  • Manual work on product descriptions: keyword mapping at the PDP level, copywriting optimization, alt-attribute cleanup
  • Custom structured data (Schema Markup) implementation that covers significantly more object types than stock Shopify: Product, Offer, AggregateOffer, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, Organization
  • Clean, purposeful internal linking between Collections, subcategories, and product pages
04
Content Marketing Authored by the Founder (E-E-A-T)
Building topical authority
  • Blog content strategy built around actionable guides: how-tos, choosing the right equipment for a specific industry, model comparisons, maintenance tips
  • Every article is bylined by the company's founder as a subject-matter expert - a direct E-E-A-T signal (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) for Google
  • A publishing cadence aligned with commercial priorities - informational articles feed traffic to commercial Collection pages through internal linking
  • Optimization of FAQ blocks and content structures for featured snippets and answer-box placements
  • Continuous refresh of existing content as a signal of active management and relevance
05
AI-Channel Optimization (GEO / AEO)
A new B2B decision-making channel
  • llms.txt and llms-full.txt files developed and maintained for correct parsing of the site's content by AI systems
  • Content structurally adapted for LLM parsing: clean headings, lists, comparison tables, unambiguous syntax
  • AI sharing buttons deployed on PDPs and Collection pages for fast one-click sharing to ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI Overviews
  • Working toward citation frequency in AI answers through content quality, authentic reviews, and structured data
  • The framework we built delivers a steady flow of orders from AI models. Transactions attributed to AI sources reach $9,000 per month - proof that the AI channel is closing real B2B deals, not just serving informational queries
06
Reddit Community Marketing & Brand Presence Management
Authentic visibility inside industry communities
  • Reddit Community Marketing: 10-15 native posts + 25 substantive comments per month across relevant subreddits (industrial sewing equipment, specific industry verticals, operator communities)
  • Reddit Brand Presence Management: a separate workstream with dedicated KPIs on brand account karma growth, comment and post volume, and long-term expert reputation
  • Real impact on two channels simultaneously: referral traffic from Reddit + growth in Google brand-search queries after the brand shows up in expert discussions
  • Trust is built through substantive contribution, not advertising - in niche B2B communities anything promotional gets rejected instantly; only expert input actually works
07
YouTube Channel Optimization
An additional visibility and trust channel
  • The client films videos in-house (already 146 videos, 1,030 subscribers), and we own the SEO packaging before each upload
  • Keyword research targeting YouTube search around equipment, repairs, and model comparisons
  • Optimization of title, description, tags, and video descriptions against the keyword map
  • Building YouTube ↔ site synergy: links from videos to commercial Collection pages, and embedding relevant videos into blog content to lift behavioral metrics
08
Spanish Localization for the U.S. Hispanic Market
Audience expansion
  • Full Spanish translation of the site - not just the UI, but the full catalog, Collections, PDPs, blog content, and meta tags
  • Launch: November 2025. In the first 10 months, the Spanish version generated 2.27K clicks / 257K impressions in Google Search Console
  • On-page and technical SEO for the ES version: dedicated keyword research (not machine-translated queries), localized meta tags, correct hreflang, dedicated /es/ URL structure
  • Average position for the Spanish version - 7.9; August 2026 alone - 492 clicks / 50,178 impressions
  • This unlocked access to a significant share of B2B demand in California, Florida, and Texas - states with a large Spanish-speaking manufacturing base
09
Topical Link Building From Quality Donors
Domain authority growth
  • Link building exclusively through high-quality topical guest posts on relevant domains in industrial manufacturing, sewing equipment, DIY/craft, and fashion manufacturing
  • Continuous backlink profile monitoring and proactive disavow of low-quality inbound links through Google Disavow
  • A long-term, safe strategy - no bulk purchases and no gray-hat methods
Google Search Console: 30.4K Clicks and 3.26M Impressions Over 16 Months
Overall site performance in Google organic search for the Apr 2025 - Aug 2026 window: 30.4K clicks, 3.26M impressions, 0.9% average CTR, average position 9.1. In August 2026 alone - 3,287 clicks and 276,422 impressions in a single month. The curve is steadily upward: no spikes from one-off activities, no drops after Google algorithm updates - just systematic traffic accumulation from the technical foundation, manual Collection optimization, and structural expansion. Worth noting: through 2026, click growth is outpacing impression growth - direct proof of CTR improvement through better rankings and optimized snippets, not just wider reach.
